Not born in Texas, but definitely a Texan at heart! I began my teaching career in 2001 and became a librarian in 2015. I love creating a warm, welcoming library where students can discover great books, explore new ideas, and grow as confident learners.
One of the reasons I became a librarian is because I believe every student should be able to see themselves on the shelves. Diversity and representation are very important to me, and I want every student to find books that reflect who they are, their experiences, and the world around them.
Most of all, I want the library to be a place where every student feels welcome, valued, and excited to find their next great read!
The Jasper High School Library is a welcoming space where students can read, learn, create, and explore. The library provides access to a diverse collection of books, digital resources, technology, and learning opportunities designed to support students academically and personally.
Students are encouraged to discover new interests, develop a love of reading, strengthen research and information-literacy skills, and become confident, independent learners. Through engaging programs, creative activities, and personalized support, the Jasper Library helps students learn, grow, and succeed both in the classroom and beyond.
