ESL

The Jasper ESL program offers classes for students who speak English as a second language. The ESL program is a language intensive program that offers each student the opportunity to learn English and experience cultures from all around the world.
Classes Offered:
ELDA
Students within their first two years of being in the program take an elective ELDA course. This course helps students develop skills around the four domains of language such as reading, writing, listening and speaking. Students partake in different activities in order to gain language growth in these areas.
English 1 E
Students in the 9th grade take an English 1E class offered either 7th or 8th period. In this course they are exposed to on level texts and curriculum with support given by their teacher of record and ESL teacher.
English 2 E
Students in the 10th grade take an English 2E class offered either 1st or 2nd period. In this course they are exposed to on level texts and curriculum with support given by their teacher of record and ESL teacher.

Regarding LPAC records/documents please send an email to amelia.mceachin@pisd.edu. Please note LPAC documents are only available for students who are currently in the 9th and 10th grade. Please contact Plano West or Plano Senior High for students who are currently in the 11th and 12th grade.
